Triple 4 Genuine Timken "Deluxe" front wheel bearing kit to fit Land Rover Defender 90 models from 1994-2016. i.e. all 300Tdi, TD5 & 2.2 & 2.4 TDCi Puma models.
This Triple 4 "Deluxe" wheel bearing kit comes complete with all the hardware required to replace one wheel bearing.
Triple 4 wheel bearing kits are the best on the market. All our wheel bearing kits use original equipment parts throughout. Timken Bearings, Corteco Oil Seals, even the lock nut washer is original equipment. Unlike a lot of sellers, who call their kits original equipment and supply you with Timken bearings which is the only bit of the kit which is original equipment. The rest of the kit been made up of cheap gaskets and rock hard cheap plastic seals.
Each Triple 4 wheel bearing kit comes with both types of hub lock nut. We supply you with the earlier type with twin hub lock nuts and lock washer. Although these are designed for earlier models, these can also be retro fitted to later TD5 & TDCi Puma models to upgrade them to this earlier and better (in our opinion) twin hub nut design. Each kit also includes a later style single hub nut used on TD5 & TDCi Puma models, which use these nuts with a bearing spacer. We include the single nut in the kit as some people still prefer to use these rather than retro fit the earlier double hub lock nut and lock washer design.
Each kit also comes with the all important outer wheel bearing shielding washer. This is a thick washer which is fitted after the outer wheel bearing, before the hub nut (s). This washer is the same diameter as the hub bore and helps shield the bearing from contamination when operating in extreme environments.
The drive member gaskets in Triple 4 kits have not escaped the Triple 4 treatment either. We weren't happy with the OEM gaskets, these are wafer thin and split when you tighten the drive member bolts up. So we had them made to our own design from superior grade gasket material. To clamp up the drive member, each kit comes with 5x OEM correct grade 10.9 drive member bolts (not grade 8.8 like in a lot of other kits).
Each kit comes with an OEM circlip for the end of the C.V. joint / halfshaft, and to top off, each kit comes with a Genuine Land Rover drive member cap. Not only is this embossed with the Land Rover logo and looks cool, more importantly, the cap is made from very supple rubber with the correct sealing flange lip on the inside (no cheap rock hard plastic ones in our kits, the ones that are prone to splitting on fitting).
